Welcome

Hello, my name is James and I am a game designer graduate from Academy of Art University, San Francisco. Please check out my games and prototype below. It consists of wide variety of genre, from 2D to 3D, puzzle to combat, even a VR shooter game! 

I enjoy observing the interaction between the game and the players and that is one of my biggest motivation when I develop games and overcoming big challenges. Problems solving in a team environment always give me big satisfaction as well, although the little bumps on the road sometime give me frustration. But at the end I am always proud to what the team and I have created and always, any constructive feedback is welcome !

Glows

 

Glows is a 2D puzzle Side Scroller / Platformer. I was responsible for level and puzzle design, animation and VFX aspect of the game. The game has 3 demo levels. The objective is to lure humans into death traps.

House Breaker

 

2D RPG. In House Breaker, you are the master Thief, unfortunately you have very bad neighbors. Break into the not so friendly neighbor's house and steal all their valuable and make them leave your sight forever. I was the lead in the project and was responsible for the concept, level and puzzle design together with animation and VFX aspect of the game. Game has 2 demo levels. Game is in Unity WebGL Build. Game Trailer and GDD also included inside the zip folder together with the game.

Asteroid Shooter VR

 

Asteroid Defender is a VR Shooter. Player need defend the base from the falling asteroids. This is a solo project, game is created in Unity Game Engine. I used Steam plugin and Art Asset from Unity Store. I scripted all mechanic and create the VFX. The demo include one playable level. Game is in Unity window executable , HTC Vive is need to experience the game demo

Wall Smash Runner
In Development

Wall Smash Runner is an one button endless runner, where the player get to smash through walls and incoming traffic. My goal is to design fun and interactive mechanic and gameplay using one button as input. Player can either jump and punch by pressing or holding spacebar. Timing is require to overcome obstacle successfully.
